In 2024, John Trunfio was a WADE Pride Residency artist. During this residency, John created a work entitled Pools which centered around the complex relationship between communal belonging and individual identity. The residency culminated in presenting this piece as a part of the International Human Rights Art Movement Festival (IHRAF) at the Tank Theater.
Pools was created during the Pride Residency curated by WADE DANCE INC in collaboration with NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
